Twitch

Gotta question for all three people reading this. Do you twitch while you're trying to fall asleep? I also have Restless Leg Syndrome, but I don't think the two are related. It's not a hypnic jerk (they're little twitches, not a big jerk :) but it might be related to it. I'm not overly disturbed or annoyed by this; I just was wondering if anyone else had the same thing happen.

I twitch very occasionally but hubby does it all the time, it drives me nuts! He usually manages to do it just as I'm dozing and startles me wide-awake again :( It doesn't bother him in the slightest and he never stirs.

I've been called a jerk once or twice, but I rarely experience a body jerk or twitch myself. The only thing that comes close is the occasional "falling" (or "ducking" to avoid a low-hanging branch) dream as I drift off to sleep, causing me to jerk awake -- but even that hasn't happened to me (that I recall) for a few years.

Have you talked to your doc about whether this might actually be related to your RLS? I don't know much about all RLS (except for what I read in the waiting room at my sleep apnea check-ins) but I can't help but wonder if there's a connection.

hey sunshine! I get the twitches every now and again but usually in the shoulders. My friend Debi has restless leg syndrome though. I don't even want to think about that!

p.s. It is good to see you back on blogger. I could never get comments to post on vox. *sigh*
